For those interested in the fascinating beauty of waterfalls, these abound in the Deloraine area. Montana Falls, 9 km (6 mi) from town, are a 5-10 min walk into the bush. Lobster Falls, 15 km (9 mi) west, are larger but a one-hour walk from the road. Westmoreland Falls are located near the town of Caveside.
Becoming more challenging are the Meander Falls, 22 km (14 mi) from Deloraine but a further 2:30 walk from the car park. Finally, Liffey Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Tasmania, are 29 km (18 mi) from town and a brief 20-25 min walk from the car park.
As an extension of the dairying industry surrounding Deloraine, there are local cheese manufacturers producing specialty English- and Swiss-style cheeses. Deloraine also has several art and craft galleries.
On the road from Deloraine to Mole Creek is the Trowunna Wildlife Park. Deloraine was named Tasmania's Tidy Town for 1996. It has one 4½-star, two 3½-star and four 3-star accommodation facilities (RACT rated) plus a youth hostel.
